Recognition Societies

The SDSU Foundation created the “Sylvan Circle” and “Heritage Farms” recognition societies as an added way to say “thank you” to the many generous alumni and friends who choose to remember South Dakota State University in their charitable plans.

The Sylvan Circle is designed for alumni and friends who make a commitment to the future support of SDSU through planned or deferred giving to the University. It provides an opportunity for the SDSU Foundation to recognize these donors during their lifetimes.

The Heritage Farms Program recognizes donors who make gifts of farm land, farm machinery or other farm assets, either outright or in a deferred, life-income gift arrangement. A Wall of Honor in the Northern Plains Biostress Laboratory pays tribute to farm ownership and family legacies on their land.
