Bequests

Will Provisions for South Dakota State University
Wills provide many donors an excellent opportunity to support South Dakota State University in the future. Donors may bequeath a fixed percentage of their estate or a specific amount to the South Dakota State University Foundation in support of University programs. Donors also may provide in their will for specific heirs to disclaim in favor of the SDSU Foundation if they later decide to do so.

Suggested Bequest Language
“I give, devise and bequeath to the South Dakota State University Foundation, located at 815 Medary Avenue in Brookings, SD, the sum of $_____ (or % of my estate or property herein described) to be used for the purpose of ____________________ (examples: student assistance, faculty development, research, etc.).”
