Jackrabbit Guarantee Scholarships

Jackrabbit Guarantee Scholarships

The program has enabled SDSU to attract and retain even more strong students, and keeping many top students in South Dakota. Thousands of alumni and friends provide financial support.  Many have created a scholarship that provides the full $1,000 award to a qualified SDSU student.

Jane Christman (’79) and husband, Walter Kingsbery, created a Jackrabbit Guarantee to honor her parents at Christmas by establishing a scholarship in their name.  Art and Marilyn Christman, who farm and ranch in Perkins County, put all five of their children through college; three of them attended SDSU.  Three grandchildren have also gone to State.  In the 1950s, Art flew his sister and brother to and from campus in his Cessna plane.

You have an opportunity to support a current or incoming SDSU student by sponsoring a $1,000 scholarship in support of the Jackrabbit Guarantee.  Your gift is tax-deductible.
