Faye Tyler Wade gives back
Growing up on the farm, Faye Tyler Wade developed a passion for cooking. In 1939, she won a bread baking contest that gave her $100 scholarship to South Dakota State College. She fell in the love with the place. Seventy years later, she gave back to the school in $250,000+ in gifts to renovate a food laboratory.
This video is one of a four-part series about the impact people have made at SDSU. The other stories include Hugh and Cari Mack, Bill Macksam and Marty Kranz.
